Equinox

Detect quinolones in your laboratory in a large number of samples of milk, meat and eggs. eReader MT will help you automate the test, read results and data traceability.

Do you need to check the presence of quinolones in milk, meat or eggs before selling or processing?
Do you need to offer a quinolone screening analysis service that allows simultaneous analysis of a large number of samples?

HOW DOES IT HELP YOU?

Equinox helps you meet the legal requirements regarding the presence of quinolone residues and avoid problems in the manufacture of fermented products due to the presence of quinolones.

Add 50 μl of sample 200 μl of media.

2. Incubation:

18h at 37ºC

3. Results:

Visual or photometric reading

TEST PRINCIPLE

EQUINOX is a qualitative test based on the growth inhibition of E. coli bacterium, a microorganism especially sensitive to quinolones.
When the test is incubated at 37 °C, bacteria cells grow modifying the redox potential of the medium and changing its colour from blue to brown-orange. If samples contain quinolones at concentrations above the limit of detection of the kit, microorganisms will not grow neither colour changes will be observed.
