HOW DOES IT HELP YOU?

Saxitest can help you to choose the best area and time to harvest, preventing extraction of contaminated molluscs from areas near those ones closed due to presence of these toxins.
Performing shelf-control with Saxitest before harvesting or as end-product testing you can assure molluscs are fit for consumption and avoid unnecessary process contaminated products.
If you are a service laboratory, you will be able to offer results in a very short time and optimize your costs since Saxitest allows you to analyse up to 40 samples in about 1 hour.

ASSAY PROCEDURE

TEST PRINCIPLE

SaxiTest is an ELISA based on the competition saxitoxins extracted from the sample with saxitoxins labelled with peroxidase to bind specific anti-saxitoxin antibodies to form antigen-antibody complexes.

• Working range: 112.5-2700 µg/Kg
• Assay time: 15 min extraction. 30 + 15 min assay
• Presentation: 96-well microtiter plate. Total of 41 samples.
• Equipment: Microtiter plate reader at 450 nm
